And I'm back! Only a year later! How some people do this for a living is beyond me! I get sidetracked! Mafia Wars, Facebook, reading...everything! Maybe a podcast would be easier. So....update....wedding of Miss Petunia and Clark Kent went very well. Turned out way better than I expected. I'll have to a play by play sometime because there are parts that are absolutely hilarious! Princess Evilena is dating Mr. Wonderful and we're all very happy about it. They're off in Myrtle Beach right now. Miss Thing is doing beach volleyball. She started dating. It's taking years off my life, let me tell you! (Brief interruption by the Wizard as he stops in for a chat) I'm on my two week vacation from work so I'm holed up in Springhill Castle trying to avoid this heat wave! Mr. Boy is over at his parents house with Robespierre so it's just me and Smokey the wonder cat braving the heat so I can have a wee smoke. I've so much to do but no motivation to do it. I'm blaming it on the heat.

So Miss Thing is off with Petunia and Clark Kent. Doing crafty wedding things. Who knew? Robespierre and Mr. Boy have disappeared and Princess Evilena had gone off to a club in Coventry to dance the night away! Youth is wasted on the youth. Our neighbor got hit by a car on his motorcycle (is a crotch rocket REALLY a motorcycle?) and has a serious case of road rash. I explained to him that the object of riding was to stay ON the bike. I've been with online support for HP all day with this stupid CD ROM. I've got a headache and it's humid! BLECH! I'm a delicate flower of a girl and too damned cheap to turn on the air at this point. So tomorrow we go to finalize the menu selections for the wedding. I'm asked at this point since I have the magic checkbook. Then I have to take this instrument of torture to the laptop doctor and see what ails it. Probably nothing that a good toss across the room wouldn't cure. This is my last week at home so I should really get a start on cleaning things up for when people come into town. I don't know. I've got my good days and bad days and today just seems to be a blah day. Must be the headache. As long as it doesn't go full blown migraine on me, I'm good. I need a good Nerd Herd geek like Chuck to fix my 'puter! Well, maybe I should just give it up for today and go watch Captain Blood or Yankee Doodle Dandy! That will make me smile!

Sitting here quietly savoring the silence...for as long as it lasts! Princess Evilena is getting ready for Saturday night out and Mr. Boy has taken Miss Thing driving! This should be good! Robespierre is in the car as well (backseat driving as only an 11 year old brother could do!). Mr. Boy has called and asked for the name of some good driving schools. He claims he's quite white knuckled right now. I'm worried about his heart holding up! Petunia and Clark Kent are out and aboot (my Canadian roots) having gone to get his suit for the wedding. She's in a much better mood today. Petunia doesn't do well with stress and, quite honestly, what do you do when you have a big family full of more helpful hints than Heloise? I'm quite in charity with Mr. Boy today. Apparently the Wizard called early this morning and asked him to go to a local police auction with him! Mr. Boy has never experienced that singular joy of the Wizard at an auction. You're safer to entertain sharks in a feeding frenzy. Mr. Boy was gone for 6 hours. Since the Wizard drove, Mr. Boy was stuck. lol He did, however, say when he came home that he understands my peculiarities ever so much more now than he did before he went to said auction. What does that tell you?! Apparently it did something to poor Mr. Boy because he is quite subdued and he did offer to take Miss Thing driving. Maybe I should start getting worried! lol

Busy day today! I had to fill out the medical forms to get paid and cover my absence from work. My specialist and her staff are so great! I really lucked out! Then I got to go to Target with Petunia to fill out the rest of her bridal registry for her and Clark Kent (my Super son in law to be whose birthday was today!). Petunia has a tendency to be a bit too low key so I took over the scanner! Whoo hoo fun for me! But I really thought it through as to what those two wonderful kids needed. Petunia and I then went over to see the Wizard and Ma Mere. Filled in the parental units as to the wedding plans and away we went. Then a little bonding time with Princess Evilena and Miss Thing and that was the sum total of my day. It's boring in the scheme of things but I really did get a lot done.

Oh what a day! Computer problems since last night. I hate Vista! For the record here! I'm going to have to take it in to someone. It won't recognize my cdrom and burn cd/dvds. I'm totally frustrated. To top it all off, I've a low grade fever and sore neck. I've felt like this essentially since my biopsy but I knew I had a cold going into this. The biopsy came back benign but my neck still hurts and I just feel really run down. Mr. Boy had taken Miss Thing off to the Indians game. Miss Thing had her interview today. They liked her and want to start this chickie off at 40 hours per week already. Princess Evilena is making me crazy with the wedding shower stuff for Petunia. I knew I was raising a bunch of TRUE non-conformists but they'd better start realizing that they had better conform when I say they need to conform. All four of them are like that, right down to Robespierre! IT MAKES ME CRAZY! I can only hope and pray that they have children just like them! Then I shall sit back, survey my domain and laugh like a woman demented from years of raising headstrong, stubborn children just like herself! Yes, my chickens have come home to roost.

Oh, I've done so well with all of the blogging, haven't I?! I don't see how these people do it! I've got work and kids and Tom and the whole rest of my life. Of course, if I'd stay off of facebook, that might help things. I'm a little obsessive compulsive with my internet activities. I overload on one thing and neglect the rest. I have to start making priority lists, I suppose!

So I guess this is how things start. I was catching up on my reading (People, don't ya know) and saw the story about bloggers. Why the hell not I ask myself? So here we go. I only hope that this doesn't go the way of my diary, journal, etc. I have absolutely no follow through on stuff like this. I get to caught up in the actual living of life to recount it through writing about it. What is my dream for this blog? Oh, to find a cure for boredom and bring world peace through my writings and the crumbs of wisdom I graciously mete out to humanity. I'm sure that I can find something to comment about on a daily basis. Who knows? We'll see what happens with all of this. The writing will probably be somewhat disjointed as I promise myself to write whatever it is I'm thinking at that particular time.
